Mercury Gray -- Merc is a college junior and a writer by trade; cooking is something she happens to do on the side to entertain her friends and bring people together. Having spent a semester in Ireland, Merc's interests in cooking include ethnic and historical cuisine, as well as cookbook reviews.

J. Everette, pre-PhD -- James began baking at a young age when her grandmother first let her hold the flour sifter. And though baking is fun, cooking  is her true passion in the kitchen. An extra ingredient here, a new spice there; it's very much like the experiments she runs for a living. But don't let her chemistry expertise fool you; she's got an intuition for appetite and a nose for some (odd) choice combinations.

Shannon -- Shannon enjoys cooking and baking and when at home finds much peace in being in the kitchen. She is a junior who started cooking more in high school when she and her dad would both take turns with  cooking duty. As much of her family has been on and off diets for much of her life,  Shannon was raised cooking "healthier" foods, but has come to  a new appreciation for real, down-home food (and butter and sugar and cheese). For her, little in the world is more nourishing than a home-made meal shared with good company. "I think that cooking your own food is essential to knowing where the food you eat comes from as well as adding in that process the most important ingredient in food--love--which comes with cooking for yourself and others!"

Margley -- Margley goes to SJU and really enjoys to cook new recipes as well as creating  pottery on the side. Nothing beats sitting down after cooking a meal with his  friends and setting everything upon homemade dishes. I also enjoy rock climbing, rugby, and movies. Oh Heavens, does he love his movies! Margley  joined this blog to show that not all college students eat ramen and bologna, and some of them even know what sautéing is.
